Progress and Beer...
It's been almost four months since WoodGrain Brewing Co. opened its doors, and even in that short time, a lot has changed.
WoodGrain opened on September 3, 2015 with four house beers and and eleven guest taps. On December 23, 2015, WoodGrain has twelve house beers (including a long list of specialties) and one...one guest tap. Including the house-made sodas, fifteen of the sixteen taps at WoodGrain pour house-made beverages.
When we started the brewery, we had high hopes of being able to pour eight of our own beers by the end of the year. But with the help of our staff, our friends in the Downtown community like Coffea, and some good timing, we have exceeded our expectations. With the re-tapping of the popular Autumn Ale and the fresh tapping of the English Breakfast, we have almost filled our tap-lineup...for now.
And the beers will change. Steve and Jason are in the middle of making competing Imperial IPAs. Bartender Jim is working up a recipe for a clean-crisp pale ale made with brown sugar. And there's been talk of a Belgian style Dubbel or a Saison of some sort. And our "Anniversary" beers are tucked away in a couple of barrels (please don't touch) for the next few months.
All of this beer and progress couldn't have been made without you...our faithful patrons and customers. Thank you for all of your business and support.
